KRAHN Chemie acquires eMBe Products & Service
Hamburg/ Frankfurt a. M. — DLA Piper advised KRAHN Chemie GmbH, active in chemical distribution, on the acquisition of eMBe Products & Service GmbH, one of the leading additive manufacturers for the ceramics and powder metal industry in Europe.
eMBe was founded in 2007 and produces binder systems for thermoplastic shaping of sinterable powder materials (ceramic and metallurgical). In addition, individualized product solutions along the value chain are developed together with customers in a technical center and also produced on site in small quantities.
KRAHN Chemie is part of the OTTO KRAHN Group. The OTTO KRAHN Group has an annual turnover of approximately 1.3 billion EUR and more than 18,000 customers worldwide. KRAHN’s core competence is the distribution, marketing and sales of specialty chemicals. KRAHN Chemie has also been active in the field of technical ceramics for 25 years and has helped to develop this market, particularly in the dental sector.
