
GRIF — a new DefenseTech investor launches
Luxembourg — The Global Resilience Innovation Fund (GRIF) has been officially launched in Luxembourg and is pleased to announce that it is now officially operational. Sabine Hampel (most recently withEB-SIM and former company operations officer in the German Armed Forces), Priscilla Schelp (founder of networkx) and Faik Yargucu (ACATIS) are launching Global Resilience Innovation Fund (GRIF), an investor in defense tech, security and disaster management. The target volume of the new fund is 200 to 250 million euros.
The regional focus is on “NATO countries and allies.
“We invest in mission-critical technologies that protect lives, stabilize democracies and secure global infrastructure — from AI-powered wildfire detection and anti-drone systems to resilient supply chains and next-generation cybersecurity. We focus on defense, dual-use and civilian technologies and support pre-seed to Series A stage startups at the intersection of sovereignty, resilience and innovation,” the founders said.
GRIF aims to support breakthrough innovations in the field of resilience, with a focus on: Defense, Aerospace, Critical Infrastructure, (Cyber) Security and Disaster Management.
