Maxburg Capital Acquires Schmallenberger Bohrservice
Munich — Maxburg has entered into a partnership with Schmallenberger Bohrservice GmbH (SCHMABO). The goal of this partnership is to support the company’s continued organic and inorganic growth.
SCHMABO is a specialized horizontal flush-drilling rig that carries out complex rock drilling projects for general contractors, utility operators, and public clients. The company’s services are used, among other things, in infrastructure projects related to the energy transition—for example, when cables need to be laid through difficult terrain.
Maxburg is an owner-managed private equity firm based in Munich. Founded in 2014, it focuses on long-term investments in medium-sized companies in German-speaking countries (the DACH region). The firm has capital commitments of approximately 1 billion euros and has completed more than 30 platform investments to date.
