Fintech Moss Reaches a Valuation of Billions of Euros in Series C Funding Round
Berlin — YPOG advised the Berlin-based fintech company Moss on its Series C funding round. Upon completion of the transaction, Moss will be valued at 1 billion EUR, thereby achieving unicorn status. To date, the company has raised a total of more than 200 million EUR in funding. The Series C funding round was led by fintech specialist Portage and included participation from existing investor Cherry Ventures.
Founded in 2019, the company is developing an AI-powered financial platform for European small and medium-sized businesses that offers companies greater transparency and control over their financial processes. Among other things, the platform automates the issuance of corporate credit cards, invoice management, and expense reporting, and is currently used by more than 5,000 companies in Europe.
Moss plans to use the funds from its Series C financing round to further expand its “Finance AI” technology platform. The goal is to support finance teams with key tasks such as expense and receivables management, bookkeeping, and monthly financial statements. Users retain control over the AI applications used at all times.
“With this Series C funding round, Moss has reached an important milestone in its corporate development. Its unicorn status underscores the confidence international investors have in the company’s business model and technological development. It has been a great pleasure to support Moss on this journey since 2021,” comments Dr. Johannes Janning, partner at YPOG.
