Palladio Partners invests in hylane
Munich — Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer has advised Palladio Partners, an investment boutique specializing in private markets, on its investment in hylane GmbH, a leading European lessor of zero-emission trucks.
As soon as the necessary regulatory approvals have been obtained, Palladio will acquire a stake in hylane as part of a significant capital increase and also take over the majority of voting rights for important areas. The current owner of hylane is the insurance group DEVK, which has held 100 percent of the shares since hylane was founded in 2021 and remains invested in hylane as a joint venture partner.
Palladio Partners wants to support the growth of hylane. The fleet of zero-emission trucks is to be expanded over the next few years with total investments in the three-digit million range.
Hylane, founded in 2021 and based in Cologne, provides battery and hydrogen-powered vehicles from various manufacturers in a usage-based rental model. Its customers include leading fleet operators from the logistics, retail and industrial sectors, including DHL, DB Schenker, DSV, Hermes and REWE.
Palladio Partners is an owner-managed investment boutique with a focus on infrastructure investments, private equity and private debt. Founded in 2012, Palladio today has around 100 employees and manages funds totaling around EUR 10 billion.
