Würth Elektronik ICS takes over MRS Electronic
Frankfurt a.M. — As part of the transaction, Würth is taking over the MRS headquarters in Rottweil as well as the company locations in Croatia, Poland and Turkey. MRS Electronic will become part of the Würth Group, but will remain an independent company within Würth Elektronik ICS. — McDermott Will & Schulte advised Würth Elektronik ICS GmbH & Co KG, a subsidiary of the Würth Group, on the acquisition of the MRS Electronic Group. The closing of the transaction is still subject to the approval of the relevant antitrust authorities.
MRS Electronic has been developing and producing control, communication and networking solutions for electronic vehicle systems for over 25 years, including compact controllers, relays, gateways, HMI displays and test systems for power semiconductors. There has been a close supplier and development partnership between MRS Electronic and Würth Elektronik ICS for over 15 years
Würth Elektronik ICS, headquartered in Niedernhall-Waldzimmern and with branches in France, the UK, Italy, the USA and India, is a system provider of electromechanical and electronic solutions for signal and power distribution, function control, display and operating solutions. Its main customers include well-known manufacturers of construction and agricultural machinery and commercial vehicles. In 2025, the Würth Elektronik Group generated sales of EUR 1.06 billion.
