Proventis advises Senseca on the acquisition of ACS Control-System
Hamburg — Senseca has acquired ACS Control-System, a German company specializing in industrial automation and measurement technology. The transaction includes the transfer of all shares of ACS Control-System to Senseca. ACS will continue to operate under its existing brand name during a transition period.
Founded in 1990 and headquartered in Eggenfelden, ACS Control-System has made a name for itself in the development of high-quality, IoT-enabled products for measuring level, pressure, temperature and flow. These solutions are widely used in the water management, power generation, pharmaceutical and mechanical engineering sectors.
The acquisition is part of Senseca’s comprehensive strategy to expand its industrial offering and meet the growing demand for intelligent, sustainable automation solutions. “ACS adds important technologies to our portfolio and strengthens our ability to offer complete measurement systems,” said Christian Unterberger, CEO of Senseca. “This supports our goal of helping customers automate processes and make better decisions based on reliable data.”
ACS will be gradually integrated into Senseca’s operations, with a focus on leveraging synergies between the two companies’ research and development departments and expanding ACS’s reach through Senseca’s global distribution network. “We share a commitment to robust, durable products and have both invested heavily in innovation,” said Joachim Stümpfl, CEO of ACS. “Joining forces with Senseca gives us the opportunity to scale our technologies internationally and contribute to a broader industry portfolio.”
The integration also brings immediate benefits for Senseca’s product development strategy. “ACS will significantly accelerate the market introduction of several key technologies,” says Walter Vogelsberger, Vice President Business Unit Industry. “By integrating radar and ultrasonic level measurement, we can now offer a broader range of measurement principles, ensuring that our customers get the right solutions for their specific challenges.”
The current owners, Joachim and Marianne Stümpfl, will continue to hold important positions at Senseca. Their continued involvement will support a smooth transition and ensure the continuity of ACS’ business activities, which Joachim Stümpfl will lead as Managing Director.
“This is a strategic step for both companies,” added Unterberger. “With ACS, we are not only gaining new technologies, but also a team that shares our values and our vision for the future of industrial measurement technology.”
