We are at the beginning of the fastest urbanization in human history, we are leaving nation states and everything is changing. Nearly 200 countries become 600 metropolitan cities. When we started traveling commercially in the late 70s and early 80s, we broke out of the idea of nation states, and since then globalization has really picked up speed.

The construct of countries and borders is only anchored in our models and heads anyway, and in business we already only talk about our "Vienna, Paris, London, New York or Singapore office". As of 2006, more than 50% of the world's population lives in cities and by the end of this century, 80-85% will live in cities and 90% of all economic transactions will take place in cities.

With this development, coupled with exponential technological progress, especially in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI or AGI - Artificial General Intelligence), nano- and bio-technology, our old models are no longer sustainable. Africa, a continent with about 1.25 billion people today, will grow to nearly 4 billion by the end of this century, and Germany will have about 100 million people by 2060.
