The cutting-edge focus topics in the new FYB 2023 issue are ESG, what oppor­tu­ni­ties exist for private inves­tors in climate-friendly infra­struc­ture, and impact inves­t­ing. We would like to thank Jan Phil­ipp Schmitz, Head of ARDIAN Germany and Asia, for his welcome address in FYB 2022, in which he summa­ri­zes the last 20 years of private equity. He conti­nues to see a posi­tive deve­lo­p­ment for the indus­try, which will also become incre­asingly ancho­red in broa­der sections of society as the “demo­cra­tiza­tion” of private equity progres­ses, i.e. growing access for private investors.
