Nordwind Growth: € 22.5 million growth round for ENPULSION
Vienna (Austria)/ Munich — ENPULSION, the world market leader for electric satellite propulsion systems from Austria, advised on a EUR 22.5 million growth financing by Nordwind Growth (“Nordwind”). ENPULSION was advised by Pava Partners on this transaction.
The investment by Nordwind marks the start of the next phase of ENPULSION’s strategy to become a global leader in space mobility. With Nordwind, ENPULSION gains an experienced growth partner. This is Nordwind’s first investment in the space sector.
With the rapid expansion of global mega-constellations, increasing geopolitical fragmentation and growing demands for sovereign satellite infrastructure, precise mobility in orbit is becoming a strategic necessity. — Since its foundation, ENPULSION has developed into a global market leader in the field of electric propulsion systems for micro- and nanosatellites in a capital-intensive industry with high capital efficiency.
Building on its globally proven electric propulsion technology and its extensive experience in space with over 320 propulsion systems in orbit, ENPULSION will offer comprehensive mobility solutions for satellites in the future. The aim is to ensure all aspects of movement, positioning and maneuverability in orbit in an integrated manner and to develop mission-specific solutions together with customers. The growth capital will be used for the expansion of production capacities, international market penetration and the development of the next product generation in the field of integrated space mobility systems. While ENPULSION continues to consolidate its position in Europe, the US market is becoming increasingly strategically important for the company. ENPULSION is benefiting there from the rapidly growing demand for independent and scalable mobility solutions for satellites.
For this transaction, Pava Partners worked with space experts Sven-Olof Koopmann and Hale Reynolds of PULSAR Space Consulting, who brought valuable industry and technology expertise as well as a strong global network in the space industry.
