better­vest is a crowd­in­ves­t­ing plat­form for sustainable projects. It is one of Germany’s leading invest­ment plat­form through which citi­zens can jointly invest from as little as €50 in forward-looking, high-impact projects in Germany as well as in emer­ging and deve­lo­ping count­ries, and in return share finan­ci­ally in the savings or reve­nues generated.

Private inves­tors thus gain access to meaningful and profi­ta­ble invest­ment oppor­tu­ni­ties while at the same time helping to acce­le­rate the energy tran­si­tion. Each project under­goes a selec­tion process in which, depen­ding on the project, an exter­nal energy consul­tant evalua­tes the plan­ned energy-saving measure. Throug­hout the fixed loan period, borro­wers are contrac­tually obli­ga­ted to devote the majo­rity of the resul­ting reve­nue or the annual cost savings to the repay­ment of the loan until the prin­ci­pal invest­ments, as well as annual returns, have been paid out.
