Elevion Group Acquires Techem Solutions
Frankfurt/Munich – Under the leadership of partner Christian Tappeiner, WEIL is advising the Elevion Group (“Elevion”), a European provider of end-to-end solutions for decarbonization and energy efficiency improvements, on its acquisition of Techem Solutions GmbH (“Techem Solutions”). The transaction is subject to antitrust approval. It is expected to close in the second half of 2026.
Techem Solutions is Germany’s second-largest provider of heating and energy services and operates more than 2,000 energy facilities. The company supplies approximately 2,600 residential households and 150 commercial customers and is part of Techem Energy Services, a leading energy service provider for the real estate sector. With this transaction, Elevion joins the ranks of the top service providers in the German heating and energy market.
WEIL has previously advised Elevion on several occasions, most recently in connection with the acquisition of the SERCOO Group. This renewed engagement underscores the trusting, long-term client relationship. At the same time, the transaction highlights the strong market position of WEIL’s Energy & Infrastructure practice.
The WEIL team was led by Frankfurt-based M&A partner Christian Tappeiner and included the M&A team consisting of counsel Julia Schöfer (Munich) and Karsten Krumm (Frankfurt), as well as associates Alexander Rothstein, Dennis Simon, Josef Matoussi, Finn-Valentin Kolitsch, Nadja Badarne (all in Frankfurt), Lucas Ottowitz, and Daniel Matijevic (both in Munich). In addition, the tax team, led by Partner Benjamin Rapp (Munich) and Associates Alexander Reich and Daniel Reich (both Frankfurt), and the antitrust team, led by Partner Niklas Maydell and Associate Martin Wagner (both Brussels), also provided advice.
