Caverion takes over S&A Schaltanlagenbau & Kees Klima-/ Kältetechnik
Munich — The international law firm Bird & Bird has advised Caverion Deutschland GmbH on two acquisitions: On the acquisition of S&A Schaltanlagenbau GmbH, based in Garbsen, which was completed on March 31, 2026, and also on the acquisition of Kees Klima- und Kältetechnik GmbH, based in northwestern Germany. With these acquisitions, Caverion is continuing its strategy of inorganic growth and strengthening its market position in the areas of building automation, ventilation and air conditioning technology.
Caverion stands for “Building Performance” and offers technical building services across all trades. The company provides technical solutions to continuously improve the performance of properties — for optimal working and living conditions, low energy consumption and CO₂ emissions as well as reliable operation. Caverion operates at 18 locations and employs more than 2,000 people throughout Germany. The company is part of the Assemblin Caverion Group, a leading Northern European provider of technical building services with around 20,000 employees in nine countries and a turnover of 3.8 billion euros.
S&A Schaltanlagenbau specializes in automation technology and switch cabinet construction and offers turnkey solutions for industrial companies, commercial properties and public facilities. Based in the Hanover region, the company generated annual sales of around 6 million euros in 2025 and employs 45 people. The S&A Schaltanlagenbau brand will be retained and the company will continue to operate as an independent branch within the Caverion North-West region. The former co-owner Ingo Ahrbecker will continue to manage the operational business as Managing Director of the GmbH.
Kees Klima- und Kältetechnik is an established company that specializes in ventilation, cooling, process, measurement and automation technology and offers solutions for customers in north-west Germany. The company has a particularly strong presence in the industrial sector. In 2025, Kees achieved an annual turnover of around 6.1 million euros and employs around 40 people.
