
French Paprec Group Acquires Majority Stake in Brantner Green Solutions
Paris / Frankfurt am Main — WEIL served as lead counsel to the Paprec Group in connection with the acquisition of a majority stake in Brantner Green Solutions from the Brantner family. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals.
The Paprec Group, headquartered in France, is one of Europe’s leading companies in the circular economy sector and covers the entire waste management value chain. The international provider of comprehensive solutions for waste management and green energy generation will operate in fifteen countries by the end of the year, with approximately 26,000 employees at 450 locations. With the acquisition of Brantner Green Solutions, Paprec is entering five new markets in Central and Eastern Europe—Austria, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Romania, and Serbia—thereby creating a strong platform for further growth in the region. Brantner Green Solutions, a family-owned company founded in 1936, is a leading waste management company in Central and Eastern Europe. It employs approximately 2,500 people at 65 locations and serves more than 28,000 municipal, industrial, and commercial customers.
The parties have agreed not to disclose the financial details of the transaction.
