USD 100 million financing round for Flink
Berlin — On-demand food delivery company Flink has raised around 100 million US dollars in a financing round. The main sponsor of this financing round is the investment company Prosus, which is once again investing in Flink alongside other existing investors. Prosus is already involved in Delivery Hero and Just Eat Takeaway. Btomorrow Ventures joins as a new investor. Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer advised Btomorrow Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of British American Tobacco, on this investment.
The new financing is intended to drive forward Flink’s targeted expansion in its core markets of Germany and the Netherlands.
Flink, based in Berlin, has established itself as the market leader for on-demand grocery delivery in Germany and the Netherlands since it was founded in 2021. The company reaches more than 22.5 million customers in its core markets and employs over 10,000 people.
Btomorrow Ventures was founded in 2020 and manages 350 million pounds in two strategic investment funds. The company works with start-ups that are generally in the pre-Series A to Series B+ financing phase.
