ARX Robotics raises € 31 million in Series A
Berlin — Munich-based DefenseTech company ARX Robotics has raised over €31 million in its Series A financing round. The round was led by HV Capital, with participation from Omnes Capital and existing investors NATO Innovation Fund, Project A and Summiteer. ARX Robotics was advised by YPOG on this transaction.
ARX Robotics develops autonomous, unmanned ground vehicles and the AI-based operating system Mithra OS. ARX robots can be equipped for a variety of military scenarios, including live-fire training and simulation, transportation and medical evacuation or special sensor applications for reconnaissance missions. Founded in 2022, the company focuses on a fully European supply chain and addresses the growing demand for modular, software-defined defense systems. Six European armed forces are already using ARX Robotics’ solutions, including the largest western-developed fleet of unmanned ground vehicles delivered to the Ukrainian army.
With the fresh capital, the company plans to increase its production capacity fivefold in the coming year at
, drive forward its expansion into other European markets and accelerate the further development of its operating system for existing vehicles. ARX Robotics recently announced the opening of an office in London and a new production facility in the south of England. In addition, a strategic partnership was signed with Daimler Truck to develop the next generation of military vehicles.
Founded by Marc Wietfeld (co-founder and CEO), Maximilian Wied (co-founder and CFO) and Stefan Roebel (co-founder and COO) — all former Bundeswehr officers — the Munich-based company is dedicated to strengthening European resilience. Its unique offering in mobile robotics, including the world’s first independent AI operating system for legacy vehicles, ARX Mithra OS, helps armed forces increase operational efficiency and improve situational awareness as they modernize their fleets.
“The demand for modular, software-based defense systems is growing rapidly — and we are building the company that will define this category in Europe. At the core of ARX Robotics is a clear mission: to create the next generation of defense infrastructure through scalable robotics and software. We are delighted to be working with such prestigious investors who support this mission. This new funding is a significant milestone and catalyst that will allow us to move from successful deployments to industrial scaling,” said Marc Wietfeld, Co-Founder and CEO of ARX Robotics
