Visma acquires leading pre-accounting provider Finmatics
Oslo / Vienna — Visma announces the acquisition of Finmatics, a fast-growing provider of pre-accounting software serving more than 1,200 accounting firms, tax advisors, corporates and SMEs in Austria and Germany. “We are delighted to welcome Finmatics to the Visma family and expand our core product offering for accountants in the DACH region. We are impressed with Finmatics’ product and high level of customer satisfaction. We believe that together, supported by Visma’s capabilities and resources, we will have even more success in the market,” says Merete Hverven, CEO of Visma (photo © Visma).
Finmatics’ AI-based autonomous accounting solution supports professional accountants by streamlining and automating financial processes; for example, invoice processing and the cross-system exchange of accounting data, freeing up valuable time and resources for value-added advisory services for clients.
Finmatics can be easily connected to most accounting systems and enables fast and reliable document collection, data extraction and categorization. This facilitates close collaboration between tax advisors and their clients, enabling much smoother and more efficient processes in operational accounting.
“As founders of Finmatics, we are delighted to become part of the Visma family. We can continue to drive the growth of Finmatics entrepreneurially and at the same time benefit from the great accounting and technology expertise of the entire Visma Group,” says Christoph Prieler, Managing Director and co-founder of Finmatics.
Continuous growth
For Visma, Europe’s leading provider of mission-critical business software, the acquisition of Finmatics is the fifth in the DACH region in the last four years, following acquisitions such as BuchhaltungsButler, H&H and Pathway Solutions in Germany and Prosaldo in Austria.
The management model of Visma, a software group with 200 individual companies in 33 countries, is based on autonomy, trust in local knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit. Following the acquisition by Visma, Finmatics will continue to operate under the same brand and management as before.
“Our goal is to further develop and expand our range of business-critical solutions in the DACH countries, both organically and through acquisitions. Visma’s vision is to shape the future of society through technology by offering secure, efficient and easy-to-use solutions that make work more enjoyable and society more efficient,” says Merete Hverven.
