9 million euros in Series A funding for PropTech startup syte
Berlin – amberra and NRW.BANK advised on the 9 million euro Series A funding round for syte GmbH. The round was led by amberra, the venturing studio of the Volksbanken Raiffeisenbanken Cooperative Financial Group. — NRW.BANK participated as a new investor through its venture capital fund, NRW.Venture. Existing investors, including companies from the Schwarz Group, High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF), vent.io, and Vantage Value, also invested again.
syte is a PropTech startup founded in Münster in 2021 that is developing an AI-based platform for land and real estate analysis. The platform combines various geographic, real estate, and land data with analyses generated by the company’s proprietary AI. This enables project developers, banks, real estate agents, planners, and housing industry companies to assess at an early stage what development potential exists, what legal requirements apply, and whether construction or renovation projects are economically viable. According to the company, syte maps more than 62 million parcels of land in Germany and is used by more than 200 customers.
With this fresh capital, syte intends to drive the technological development of its platform and prepare for expansion into additional European markets. The focus is on further automating the early planning phase of construction and real estate projects, from assessing development potential to reviewing building codes and conducting feasibility analyses. In the long term, the goal is to digitally map the entire process leading up to the actual construction of a property.
About the amberra Fund
The BaFin-registered amberra Fund was established in March 2024. The first closing of the amberra Fund took place in August 2024, and the final closing—with the target volume of 100 million euros reached—took place at the end of February 2026. The cooperative financial group’s joint investment vehicle forms the foundation for portfolio development.
amberra is a strategic investor. Many members of our team have founded companies themselves. Our founders benefit from these experiences—from honest analysis of pitch decks to solid capital and CFO advisory services when things get tight. A key factor for collaboration is the strategic fit with the financial group. Our strategic focus is on Series A investments in the four areas of living, health, sustainability, and the regional economy. — www.amberra.de
