The promo\u00adtion of start-ups and young compa\u00adnies is one of the most important econo\u00admic policy tasks of our time. Because we will not make the tran\u00adsi\u00adtion to the digi\u00adtal age without the inno\u00adva\u00adtive ideas of young start-ups. Today\u2019s start-ups are tomor\u00adro\u00adw\u2019s SMEs. They will ensure that Germany reta\u00adins its top posi\u00adtion as the worl\u00add\u2019s leading busi\u00adness loca\u00adtion in the future.<\/p>\n

In order to grow, start-ups need a secure finan\u00adcing perspec\u00adtive. In the last legis\u00adla\u00adtive period, we ther\u00ade\u00adfore set oursel\u00adves the task of impro\u00adving the finan\u00adcing condi\u00adti\u00adons for young compa\u00adnies. We were able to make great progress in this respect, parti\u00adcu\u00adlarly in the provi\u00adsion of venture capi\u00adtal for the early and growth phases. We have increased, expan\u00added or laun\u00adched important support programs.<\/p>\n

In parti\u00adcu\u00adlar, we have massi\u00advely upgraded the INVEST program. The program allows inves\u00adtors to receive a grant of 20 percent of the inves\u00adted amount for their invest\u00adments in inno\u00adva\u00adtive start-ups. As of Janu\u00adary 1, 2017, we doubled the upper limit of the possi\u00adble grant to 500,000 euros.
