These include, for exam\u00adple, the family offices of large family busi\u00adnesses such as Viega and Krom\u00adba\u00adcher. A total of EUR 15 million is thus available to turn young and promi\u00adsing busi\u00adness ideas from South West\u00adpha\u00adlia, parti\u00adcu\u00adlarly in areas such as arti\u00adfi\u00adcial intel\u00adli\u00adgence, robo\u00adtics, new mate\u00adri\u00adals, indus\u00adtrial digi\u00adta\u00adliza\u00adtion and sustainable tech\u00adno\u00adlo\u00adgies, into viable compa\u00adnies. This also streng\u00adthens the inno\u00adva\u00adtive power and econo\u00admic deve\u00adlo\u00adp\u00adment of the region as a whole. <\/p>\n For Early\u00adbird, one of the most renow\u00adned early-stage finan\u00adciers in Germany, the current closing is the first targe\u00adted commit\u00adment in a region of North Rhine-West\u00adpha\u00adlia. The fund\u2019s manage\u00adment had speci\u00adfi\u00adcally recrui\u00adted NRW.BANK as a part\u00adner in order to streng\u00adthen the commit\u00adment with addi\u00adtio\u00adnal exper\u00adtise and expe\u00adri\u00adence for the start-up scene in NRW and South West\u00adpha\u00adlia. The part\u00adner\u00adship between Early\u00adbird and NRW.BANK had alre\u00adady proven its worth in two previous funds. The Early\u00adbird VIII fund has a total volume of EUR 360 million, which flows into start-ups throug\u00adhout Europe.
