Meppen \u2014 Oppen\u00adhoff has advi\u00adsed the share\u00adhol\u00adders of Re.Lion.Bat. Circu\u00adlar GmbH on its sale to PreZero. The legal and commer\u00adcial trans\u00adfer to PreZero took place in October. <\/p>\n

The Re.Lion.Bat. Circu\u00adlar GmbH joint venture between the DEPPE Group and Fahr\u00adzeug-Werke LUEG AG has crea\u00adted an inte\u00adgra\u00adted recy\u00adcling process for lithium batte\u00adries and built Euro\u00adpe\u2019s largest battery recy\u00adcling plant in Meppen, Emsland. LUEG has also estab\u00adlished a decen\u00adtra\u00adli\u00adzed logi\u00adstics network for unloa\u00adding and dismant\u00adling via LUEG loca\u00adti\u00adons in Germany and abroad. <\/p>\n

Re.Lion.Bat.Circular GmbH curr\u00adently opera\u00adtes Euro\u00adpe\u2019s largest recy\u00adcling plant for lithium-ion batte\u00adries at its Meppen site. The state-of-the-art faci\u00adlity can curr\u00adently process up to 30,000 tons of used batte\u00adries per year \u2014 with an appro\u00adved capa\u00adcity of 60,000 tons. <\/p>\n

The recy\u00adcling process in Meppen is based on a ther\u00admo\u00adme\u00adcha\u00adni\u00adcal process that first crus\u00adhes used batte\u00adries and then sepa\u00adra\u00adtes the mate\u00adri\u00adals they contain. Plas\u00adtics, ferrous and non-ferrous metals as well as the so-called black mass \u2014 a valuable mix of lithium, nickel, cobalt and graphite \u2014 are effi\u00adci\u00adently reco\u00advered. The high reco\u00advery rate and low-emis\u00adsion tech\u00adno\u00adlogy make the process parti\u00adcu\u00adlarly envi\u00adron\u00admen\u00adtally friendly. <\/p>\n
