Duder\u00adstadt \u2014 The prosthe\u00adsis manu\u00adfac\u00adtu\u00adrer Otto\u00adbock has successfully gone public for the third time! \u2014 The share price is successfully above the issue price (up to 66 euros). This makes the IPO the largest in Germany so far in 2025 in a diffi\u00adcult environment. <\/p>\n

At 72 euros, the first price was still around 9% above the issue price. At the offer price, Otto\u00adbock expec\u00adted a market capi\u00adta\u00adliza\u00adtion of around 4.2 billion euros; based on the first price, this was around 4.6 billion euros. The company is wholly owned by the N\u00e4der family. <\/p>\n

With 9,300 employees world\u00adwide, Otto\u00adbock gene\u00adra\u00adted sales of around 1.4 billion euros and an adjus\u00adted opera\u00adting result (EBITDA) of 321 million euros in 2024. In the first half of 2025, sales rose by 14% to EUR 760 million, while adjus\u00adted EBITDA impro\u00adved by around a third to EUR 175 million. <\/p>\n

K\u00fchne Holding AG, owned by Hamburg billionaire and logi\u00adstics entre\u00adpre\u00adneur Klaus-Michael K\u00fchne, and the Small\u00adcap World Fund of asset mana\u00adger Capi\u00adtal Group subscri\u00adbed shares worth 125 million euros and 115 million euros respec\u00adtively as corner\u00adstone inves\u00adtors. K\u00fchne Holding Ag thus holds approx. 3% of Ottobock. <\/p>\n

Otto\u00adbock wants to pay off debt and invest in new technologies<\/strong><\/p>\n

The company plans to use the gross proceeds from the IPO to invest more heavily in future tech\u00adno\u00adlo\u00adgies in parti\u00adcu\u00adlar, as well as to pay off debt and pursue oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adties in the areas of products & compon\u00adents and pati\u00adent care through targe\u00adted acqui\u00adsi\u00adti\u00adons. Prior to the IPO, Otto\u00adbock had alre\u00adady secu\u00adred purchase commit\u00adments from billionaire Klaus-Michael K\u00fchne and from a fund of the US invest\u00adment company Capi\u00adtal Group. They wanted to secure shares worth 125 and 115 million euros respectively. <\/p>\n
