The round was supple\u00admen\u00adted by seve\u00adral renow\u00adned busi\u00adness angels. The funds will be used to further deve\u00adlop the sensor solu\u00adtion for rolling bearings and scale it up to an indus\u00adtri\u00adally appli\u00adca\u00adble series product. <\/p>\n
Foun\u00added in 2021, the company is a spin-off of the Tech\u00adni\u00adcal Univer\u00adsity of Darm\u00adstadt and is deve\u00adlo\u00adping a new gene\u00adra\u00adtion of high-tech sensors based on a multi-paten\u00adted tech\u00adno\u00adlogy for moni\u00adto\u00adring the lubri\u00adca\u00adtion of rolling bearings \u2014 a criti\u00adcal but previously barely trans\u00adpa\u00adrent area of indus\u00adtrial plant engi\u00adnee\u00adring. The sensor from HCP Sense is inte\u00adgra\u00adted directly into the machi\u00adnes, works inde\u00adpendently of the design, lubri\u00adcant or bearing size and enables precise, conti\u00adnuous analy\u00adsis of the lubri\u00adca\u00adtion status using edge compu\u00adting and AI-supported cloud evaluation. <\/p>\n
HCP Sense aims to initiate a para\u00addigm shift in bearing moni\u00adto\u00adring: away from clas\u00adsic vibra\u00adtion analy\u00adses, which only detect damage that has alre\u00adady occur\u00adred, and towards moni\u00adto\u00adring the causes, such as lubri\u00adca\u00adtion condi\u00adti\u00adons, in order to proac\u00adtively prevent fail\u00adures, i.e. predic\u00adtive main\u00adten\u00adance. The company is thus addres\u00adsing a massive effi\u00adci\u00adency poten\u00adtial in a market worth billi\u00adons: around 80% of all prema\u00adture bearing fail\u00adures are due to inade\u00adquate lubri\u00adca\u00adtion.
