The second closing raised appro\u00adxi\u00adm\u00adately EUR 50 million, brin\u00adging the total finan\u00adcing volume of the Series B round to appro\u00adxi\u00adm\u00adately EUR 113 million. This tran\u00adsac\u00adtion marks EIC Fund\u2019s first invest\u00adment in a company in the fusion energy sector. Marvel Fusion is deve\u00adlo\u00adping a laser-based tech\u00adno\u00adlogy that uses high-energy lasers to trig\u00adger targe\u00adted nuclear fusion to gene\u00adrate clean and relia\u00adble energy. The new funding will support Marvel Fusion in the further deve\u00adlo\u00adp\u00adment of its inno\u00adva\u00adtive tech\u00adno\u00adlo\u00adgies and in the tran\u00adsi\u00adtion from the rese\u00adarch and deve\u00adlo\u00adp\u00adment phase to indus\u00adtrial imple\u00admen\u00adta\u00adtion.
