Paris \u2014 Ardian, a leading global private invest\u00adment house, today announ\u00adced the successful closing of its sixth gene\u00adra\u00adtion expan\u00adsion fund, Ardian Expan\u00adsion Fund VI (AEF VI), at \u20ac3.2 billion. The successful closing unders\u00adcores the strong support and confi\u00addence of Ardian\u2019s global inves\u00adtor base. Of the 200 limi\u00adted part\u00adners (LPs) parti\u00adci\u00adpa\u00adting in the fund, appro\u00adxi\u00adm\u00adately 80 inves\u00adtors retur\u00adned from AEF V, contri\u00adbu\u00adting nearly half of the capi\u00adtal raised and incre\u00adasing their commit\u00adments by an average of 13%. \u2014 At the same time, AEF VI welco\u00admed nearly 120 new inves\u00adtors, inclu\u00adding more than 50 first-time Ardian clients, demons\u00adt\u00adra\u00adting the broad appeal and confi\u00addence in Ardian\u2019s expan\u00adsion invest\u00adment stra\u00adtegy and track record. Geogra\u00adphi\u00adcally, the fund attrac\u00adted a highly diver\u00adsi\u00adfied group of inves\u00adtors with LPs from 28 count\u00adries world\u00adwide<\/strong>, with signi\u00adfi\u00adcant increa\u00adses in commit\u00adments from LPs in MENA, the Ameri\u00adcas, Asia, the UK, the Nordics and the Nether\u00adlands. Ardian saw an increase in commit\u00adments from pension funds and private wealth inves\u00adtors, with private wealth clients accoun\u00adting for 25% of the fund\u2019s LP base, compared to 16% for AEF V. This group includes 33 CEOs and members of senior manage\u00adment of previous Ardian Expan\u00adsion port\u00adfo\u00adlio compa\u00adnies. In line with Expan\u00adsi\u00adon\u2019s stra\u00adtegy, AEF VI aims to support high-growth indus\u00adtry leaders through invest\u00adments of between \u20ac50 million and \u20ac300 million<\/strong> targe\u00adting private mid-market compa\u00adnies led by commit\u00adted and visio\u00adnary entre\u00adpre\u00adneurs. The fund is alre\u00adady 33% deployed and has comple\u00adted eight tran\u00adsac\u00adtions in cate\u00adgory-leading compa\u00adnies. As a pioneer in the concept of sharing value, Ardian distri\u00adbu\u00adtes a portion of its capi\u00adtal gains to employees of its port\u00adfo\u00adlio compa\u00adnies upon exit. To date, 81% of expan\u00adsion port\u00adfo\u00adlio compa\u00adnies have bene\u00adfi\u00adted from this initia\u00adtive. 8,000 employees in 20 exits since AEF III receive a share of the acti\u00advi\u00adty\u2019s capi\u00adtal gains. After AEF VI, an average of 250 employee share\u00adhol\u00adders per invest\u00adment bene\u00adfit from this mecha\u00adnism. Ardian has further expan\u00added its expan\u00adsion team with 36 profes\u00adsio\u00adnals in Paris, Frank\u00adfurt and Milan, inclu\u00adding 13 Mana\u00adging Direc\u00adtors who have worked toge\u00adther for over 15 years to ensure a strong culture. Their deep connec\u00adtions in local markets and presence in multi\u00adple loca\u00adti\u00adons enable them to support port\u00adfo\u00adlio compa\u00adnies with cross-border oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adties, opera\u00adtio\u00adnal growth and new client acqui\u00adsi\u00adtion. In 2024, the expan\u00adsion port\u00adfo\u00adlio has again demons\u00adtra\u00adted average double-digit orga\u00adnic EBITDA growth. The team also has a proven track record of helping mid-market compa\u00adnies scale through stra\u00adte\u00adgic acqui\u00adsi\u00adti\u00adons, with an average of five build-ups per port\u00adfo\u00adlio company. In addi\u00adtion, the team has been instru\u00admen\u00adtal in sustaina\u00adbi\u00adlity trans\u00adfor\u00adma\u00adti\u00adons. By the end of 2024, 95% of port\u00adfo\u00adlio compa\u00adnies have conduc\u00adted carbon foot\u00adprint assess\u00adments, 55% have imple\u00admen\u00adted green\u00adhouse gas emis\u00adsion reduc\u00adtion plans and all AEF VI finan\u00adcings rela\u00adted to sustaina\u00adbi\u00adlity, inclu\u00adding CO2 KPIs. <\/p>\n

The fund\u00adrai\u00adsing announce\u00adment follows the recent closing of Ardian\u2019s first private equity follow-on fund for Syclef, a leading Euro\u00adpean company specia\u00adli\u00adzing in the instal\u00adla\u00adtion and main\u00adten\u00adance of refri\u00adge\u00adra\u00adtion and air condi\u00adtio\u00adning systems.
