The aim of the invest\u00adment is to further grow the core busi\u00adness and to support the nati\u00adon\u00adwide expan\u00adsion that has alre\u00adady been initia\u00adted. One and a half years after final closing, SHS VI has thus inves\u00adted over 50% of the fund\u2019s investa\u00adble capi\u00adtal. The medium-sized company Medi\u00adzin\u00adtech\u00adnik Rostock GmbH was foun\u00added in 1994, employs around 200 people and focu\u00adses on the provi\u00adsion of therapy devices for home use. As a quality leader in Germany, MTR is a part\u00adner of over 80 health insu\u00adrance compa\u00adnies and carried out over 140,000 treat\u00adments in the areas of move\u00adment, elec\u00adtri\u00adcal and compres\u00adsion therapy in 2023. Of the three appli\u00adca\u00adtion areas in which MTR is active, move\u00adment therapy is the largest area. The conti\u00adnuous passive motion (CPM) devices are used to help pati\u00adents restore joint mobi\u00adlity after opera\u00adti\u00adons such as knee and hip repla\u00adce\u00adments or shoulder and elbow surgery. The newest area is compres\u00adsion therapy. The focus here is on the treat\u00adment of lymph\u00adoedema and venous disor\u00adders. Using inter\u00admit\u00adtent pneu\u00adma\u00adtic compres\u00adsion (IPC) devices, sequen\u00adtial pres\u00adsure is applied to the affec\u00adted areas to improve circu\u00adla\u00adtion and reduce swel\u00adling. If a doctor prescri\u00adbes therapy with an MTR therapy device for a pati\u00adent as part of the reco\u00advery process, the costs are usually covered by health insu\u00adrance. The therapy devices are then deli\u00advered to pati\u00adents for the requi\u00adred reha\u00adbi\u00adli\u00adta\u00adtion phase as part of a rental busi\u00adness model. The company also has the neces\u00adsary service and trai\u00adning staff to make it easier for pati\u00adents to start therapy and use the devices or to cali\u00adbrate the device precis\u00adely to the indi\u00advi\u00addual requi\u00adre\u00adments of each pati\u00adent. This service is carried out by MTR\u2019s own staff and thus guaran\u00adtees not only consis\u00adt\u00adently high quality and pati\u00adent care, but also fast and indi\u00advi\u00addual deli\u00adveries to the respec\u00adtive pati\u00adents.
