Eschborn\/ San Francisco\/ Singa\u00adpore \u2014 TPG Rise Climate, a fund specia\u00adli\u00adzing in climate invest\u00adments as part of TPG\u2019s global impact inves\u00adt\u00ading plat\u00adform, and GIC, a leading global inves\u00adtor, today signed an agree\u00adment to acquire Techem Group.
\nThe company will be acqui\u00adred from its exis\u00adting majo\u00adrity owner Part\u00adners Group, one of the largest private markets invest\u00adment mana\u00adgers acting on behalf of its clients, and co-inves\u00adtors CDPQ and Onta\u00adrio Teachers\u2019 Pension Plan.
\nThe total value of the tran\u00adsac\u00adtion is EUR 6.7 billion.
\nThe tran\u00adsac\u00adtion is expec\u00adted to close in the first half of 2025, subject to custo\u00admary condi\u00adti\u00adons and regu\u00adla\u00adtory approvals.
\nThe purchase price will be paid in two tran\u00adches, one at closing of the tran\u00adsac\u00adtion and the remai\u00adning amount in July 2027.
\nTPG Rise Climate is one of the worl\u00add\u2019s largest private equity funds for global climate solu\u00adti\u00adons and invests in compa\u00adnies that are signi\u00adfi\u00adcantly driving decarbonization.
\nTechem repres\u00adents the largest tran\u00adsac\u00adtion for the fund to date.
\nGIC is making a signi\u00adfi\u00adcant mino\u00adrity investment.
