The finan\u00adcing round was co-led by Heart\u00adcore Capi\u00adtal and Vorwerk Ventures and included HCS Capi\u00adtal, Revent Ventures and former members of the Execu\u00adtive Board of insu\u00adrance giant Alli\u00adanz, Axel Theis and Chris\u00adtof Mascher.<\/p>\n<p>Foun\u00added by former Alli\u00adanz execu\u00adti\u00adves <strong>Coen\u00adraad Vrolijk, Nandini Wilcke <\/strong>(photo \u00a9 carbonpool.earth) and<strong> Frede\u00adric Olbert<\/strong>, Carbon\u00adPool aims to acce\u00adle\u00adrate invest\u00adments in carbon credits, which are criti\u00adcal to achie\u00adving net zero, by provi\u00adding carbon credit insu\u00adrance with bene\u00adfits in&nbsp;kind.<\/p>\n<p>Carbon\u00adPool offers in-kind credit insu\u00adrance to ensure that compa\u00adnies can guaran\u00adtee the carbon credits they purchase. This insu\u00adrance is the crucial miss\u00ading compo\u00adnent that unlocks invest\u00adment in carbon credit projects. This market is curr\u00adently subject to a low level of confi\u00addence due to the high percei\u00adved&nbsp;risks<\/p>\n<p>Almost half of the worl\u00add\u2019s 2,000 leading compa\u00adnies plan to achieve net zero emis\u00adsi\u00adons by 2030. This is part of the acce\u00adle\u00adra\u00adted efforts to achieve the Paris Agree\u00admen\u00adt\u2019s goal of global net zero by 2050. Many of these compa\u00adnies, along with thou\u00adsands of others, rely on carbon credits to achieve their net zero targets.
