The label\u2019s foun\u00adders, sisters Simone and Nicky Zimmer\u00admann, have retai\u00adned a mino\u00adrity stake in the brand and said the company will conti\u00adnue to be run by them and current management.<\/p>\n<p>Advent Inter\u00adna\u00adtio\u00adnal has acqui\u00adred a majo\u00adrity stake in Zimmer\u00admann from Italian private equity firm Style Capi\u00adtal. Finan\u00adcial terms were not disc\u00adlo\u00adsed, but two people fami\u00adliar with the matter told Reuters the deal values the brand at 14 times its core earnings, or about $1.15 billion (A$1.76 billion).<\/p>\n<p>Zimmer\u00admann has sales of $260 million and a core profit margin of more than 30%, the indi\u00advi\u00addu\u00adals&nbsp;said.<\/p>\n<p>Adven\u00adt\u2019s invest\u00adment would allow Zimmer\u00admann to acce\u00adle\u00adrate expan\u00adsion over\u00adseas, inclu\u00adding Asia and the Middle East, and streng\u00adthen its distri\u00adbu\u00adtion network, inclu\u00adding e\u2011commerce, Advent, Zimmer\u00admann and Style Capi\u00adtal said in a joint statement.<\/p>\n<p>The Sydney busi\u00adness is not expec\u00adted to be affec\u00adted by the acqui\u00adsi\u00adtion. Rajan Sen of Advent Inter\u00adna\u00adtio\u00adnal said in a state\u00adment, \u201cWe look forward to support\u00ading the manage\u00adment team led by CEO Chris Olli\u00adver and Nicky and Simone Zimmermann.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The label, known for its high-end swim and resort wear, began in 1991 with a stall in Sydney\u2019s Padding\u00adton market.
