Sion, Switz\u00ader\u00adland-based startup DePoly, foun\u00added in 2020 by Saman\u00adtha Ander\u00adson, Bardiya Valiz\u00adadeh and Chris\u00adto\u00adpher Ireland, is deve\u00adlo\u00adping \u201can inno\u00adva\u00adtive chemi\u00adcal recy\u00adcling tech\u00adno\u00adlogy.\u201d The fled\u00adgling company\u2019s tech\u00adno\u00adlogy can \u201cconvert mixed and diffi\u00adcult-to-recy\u00adcle consu\u00admer and indus\u00adtrial waste streams, for exam\u00adple, mixed plas\u00adtics, mixed paints, soiled plas\u00adtic waste, and poly\u00ades\u00adter-based fabrics and fibers back into their primary raw materials.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Plas\u00adtics are an essen\u00adtial part of ever\u00ady\u00adday life. But only about 10 percent is recy\u00adcled; the majo\u00adrity is inci\u00adne\u00adra\u00adted or land\u00adfil\u00adled. As brand owners incre\u00adasingly seek higher recy\u00adcled content in their products, demand for advan\u00adced recy\u00adcling tech\u00adno\u00adlo\u00adgies is expec\u00adted to increase.
