Madrid \u2014 Trucks\u00adters, the Spanish road haulage company revo\u00adlu\u00adtio\u00adni\u00adzing the long-distance trans\u00adport sector through the use of AI and Big Data, has closed a \u20ac33 million Series B round. The new injec\u00adtion of capi\u00adtal, backed by new and exis\u00adting inves\u00adtors, will be used to achieve some of the company\u2019s stra\u00adte\u00adgic goals, inclu\u00adding the elec\u00adtri\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adtion of its routes, which could make Trucks\u00adters the first elec\u00adtric long-distance opera\u00adtor in Europe.<\/p>\n
The new invest\u00adments will support other important deve\u00adlo\u00adp\u00adments, inclu\u00adding the expan\u00adsion and streng\u00adthening of the IT and manage\u00adment teams and the opening of new inter\u00adna\u00adtio\u00adnal corri\u00addors. These impro\u00adve\u00adments will support the company\u2019s over\u00adall goal of impro\u00adving drivers\u2019 working condi\u00adti\u00adons while provi\u00adding effi\u00adci\u00adent trans\u00adpor\u00adta\u00adtion solu\u00adti\u00adons for its customers.<\/p>\n
New inves\u00adtors<\/strong><\/p>\n The new round of finan\u00adcing is supported by new inves\u00adtors inclu\u00adding Conti\u00adnen\u00adtal\u2019s Corpo\u00adrate Venture Capi\u00adtal<\/strong> Unit, Volvo Group Venture Capi\u00adtal<\/strong>, part of the Swedish multi\u00adna\u00adtio\u00adnal vehicle manu\u00adfac\u00adtu\u00adrer, the Euro\u00adpean Invest\u00adment Bank (EIB)<\/strong> and Fond\u00adICO<\/strong>, the Spanish fund of funds.\u201d<\/p>\n The funds provi\u00added by the EIB are part of Euro\u00adpean InvestEU, an invest\u00adment program focu\u00adsed on the EU\u2019s common prio\u00adri\u00adties.
