UVC Part\u00adners, Green Gene\u00adra\u00adtion Fund, Extan\u00adtia Capi\u00adtal, Doral Energy-Tech Ventures and biome\u00adthane trader Land\u00adw\u00e4rme GmbH are among the inves\u00adtors.<br style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The fresh capi\u00adtal will be used to expand produc\u00adtion of 100 kilo\u00adwatt and 500 kilo\u00adwatt biogas power plants. In addi\u00adtion, Reverion will receive \u20ac12 million in rese\u00adarch funding, which will be used for further deve\u00adlo\u00adp\u00adment of the equip\u00adment. The start-up is a spin-off of the Tech\u00adni\u00adcal Univer\u00adsity of Munich (TUM) and parti\u00adci\u00adpa\u00adted in the XPRENEURS incu\u00adba\u00adtion program of Unter\u00adneh\u00admer\u00adTUM, Euro\u00adpe\u2019s largest center for inno\u00adva\u00adtion and start-ups.  <\/span><br style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With Reveri\u00adon\u2019s new tech\u00adno\u00adlogy, biogas plant opera\u00adtors can increase their reve\u00adnue by up to 400 percent from the same amount of biomass. The company\u2019s upco\u00adming Series A finan\u00adcing aims to further increase produc\u00adtion and posi\u00adtion itself for market demand for giga\u00adwatt-scale rene\u00adwa\u00adble capa\u00adcity.<\/span><br style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>100 percent more effi\u00adci\u00adency and no harmful CO2 emis\u00adsi\u00adons<\/strong><br style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reverion plans to replace as many conven\u00adtio\u00adnal power plants as possi\u00adble world\u00adwide with its tech\u00adno\u00adlogy. The first target market is exis\u00adting biogas plants. Today, these are powered by gas engi\u00adnes that achieve only a very low effi\u00adci\u00adency of 40 percent at most, offer limi\u00adted storage opti\u00adons, and emit milli\u00adons of tons of CO2 annu\u00adally. Reveri\u00adon\u2019s modu\u00adlar power plants, on the other hand, double the effi\u00adci\u00adency of elec\u00adtri\u00adcity gene\u00adra\u00adtion from 40 to 80 percent compared to conven\u00adtio\u00adnal tech\u00adno\u00adlogy. Since the small power plants can also run \u201cback\u00adwards\u201d (rever\u00adsi\u00adbly), a rene\u00adwa\u00adble natu\u00adral gas substi\u00adtute or green hydro\u00adgen can be gene\u00adra\u00adted and stored from a tempo\u00adrary surplus of wind and solar power to make the grid more flexi\u00adble. Another advan\u00adtage is that Reveri\u00adon\u2019s modern power plants can be opera\u00adted CO2-nega\u00adtively when using biogas.  <\/span><br style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The paten\u00adted carbon-nega\u00adtive fuel cell tech\u00adno\u00adlogy has alre\u00adady found nume\u00adrous custo\u00admers today. \u201cWe alre\u00adady have pre-orders of over 60 million euros that we want to fulfill,\u201d explains Felix Fischer, co-foun\u00adder and COO. \u201cOur goal is to break even by ente\u00adring volume produc\u00adtion and rapidly scaling the number of units ship\u00adped.\u201c<\/span><br style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>EU Commis\u00adsion targets acce\u00adle\u00adrate Reveri\u00adon\u2019s market entry<\/strong><br style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rapid action is also requi\u00adred to ensure that Germany can achieve the EU Commis\u00adsi\u00adon\u2019s targets for the energy tran\u00adsi\u00adtion (Net Zero Act) in the fore\u00adseeable future.
