Bonn \u2014 High-Tech Gr\u00fcn\u00adder\u00adfonds (HTGF) closes its fourth fund gene\u00adra\u00adtion with a total volume of 493.8 million euros. This makes HTGF IV HTGF\u2019s largest fund to date. The seed inves\u00adtor, which invests in tech\u00adno\u00adlogy start\u00adups in the digi\u00adtal tech, indus\u00adtrial tech, life scien\u00adces and chemi\u00adcals sectors, has backed more than 690 start\u00adups since it was foun\u00added. The volume of the third fund gene\u00adra\u00adtion of 319.5 million euros was excee\u00added by more than 50 percent in the fourth fund generation.<\/p>\n
HTGF has also once again been able to signi\u00adfi\u00adcantly increase the number of private inves\u00adtors compared to fund gene\u00adra\u00adtion three: 45 private inves\u00adtors are parti\u00adci\u00adpa\u00adting in HTGF IV along\u00adside the German Fede\u00adral Minis\u00adtry of Econo\u00admics and Climate Protec\u00adtion (BMWK) and KfW Capi\u00adtal. The majo\u00adrity of the private inves\u00adtors are market-leading SMEs or hidden cham\u00adpi\u00adons. Nume\u00adrous large compa\u00adnies and family offices are also among the investors.<\/p>\n

Gorman leads all SAP SE startup acti\u00advi\u00adties world\u00adwide as senior vice presi\u00addent of SAP.iO; she is conside\u00adred a proven expert in corpo\u00adrate venture capi\u00adtal and will serve as vice chair of the Inves\u00adtor Advi\u00adsory Board.<\/p>\n Initial invest\u00adments have alre\u00adady been made, inclu\u00adding in Reflex Aero\u00adspace<\/strong> (custom and high-perfor\u00admance satel\u00adli\u00adtes), Phia\u00adlo\u00adgics<\/strong> (biolo\u00adgics that balance the immune response in acute and chro\u00adnic inflamm\u00ada\u00adtion), and Visio\u00adLab<\/strong> (AI-based check-out solutions).<\/p>\n With the new gene\u00adra\u00adtion of funds, HTGF can invest even more flexi\u00adbly and quickly, while simpli\u00adfy\u00ading the invest\u00adment crite\u00adria. Start-ups need only be less than three years old and must be head\u00adquar\u00adte\u00adred in Germany or have a German perma\u00adnent estab\u00adlish\u00adment if the company is based in another Euro\u00adpean country.<\/p>\n In addi\u00adtion, the fund can provide more capi\u00adtal per start-up in the future: Up to one million euros is possi\u00adble in the seed round.
