Paris\/Frankfurt\/Aurich\/Oldenburg \u2014 Olden\u00adburg-based energy service provi\u00adder EWE and the Aloys Wobben Foun\u00adda\u00adtion, sole share\u00adhol\u00adder of Aurich-based wind turbine manu\u00adfac\u00adtu\u00adrer ENERCON, today signed a share\u00adhol\u00adder and invest\u00adment agree\u00adment to estab\u00adlish a joint venture for onshore wind energy. Ardian, one of the worl\u00add\u2019s leading inde\u00adpen\u00addent invest\u00adment compa\u00adnies, has held a 26 percent stake in EWE since Febru\u00adary 2020 and is support\u00ading the estab\u00adlish\u00adment of the new company.<\/p>\n
The agree\u00adment stipu\u00adla\u00adtes that each side will hold 50 percent of the shares and will contri\u00adbute ENER\u00adCON\u2019s and EWE\u2019s exis\u00adting parks and onshore projects to the future joint venture. EWE is respon\u00adsi\u00adble for the entre\u00adpre\u00adneu\u00adrial manage\u00adment of the joint venture, while the Aloys Wobben Foun\u00adda\u00adtion chairs the Super\u00advi\u00adsory Board. The closing of the tran\u00adsac\u00adtion, expec\u00adted for spring 2021, is still subject to anti\u00adtrust review.<\/p>\n
EWE and Aloys Wobben Foun\u00adda\u00adtion sign agree\u00adment to estab\u00adlish a joint venture with plan\u00adned invest\u00adment volume of \u20ac3.6 billion until 2030.<\/p>\n
The new company will have more than 2,300 mega\u00adwatts of instal\u00adled capa\u00adcity in its port\u00adfo\u00adlio and a project pipe\u00adline of more than 9,400 mega\u00adwatts, making it the market leader in onshore wind in Germany and one of the largest wind energy compa\u00adnies in Europe. The goal is to add more than 200 mega\u00adwatts per year and increase the port\u00adfo\u00adlio to up to 5 giga\u00adwatts by 2030. In addi\u00adtion, further inter\u00adna\u00adtio\u00adnal growth is plan\u00adned. In this way, one of the largest produ\u00adcers of green elec\u00adtri\u00adcity in Germany and France is to be crea\u00adted in the coming years. The company, which also includes the D\u00fcssel\u00addorf-based direct marketer Quadra Energy, takes a manu\u00adfac\u00adtu\u00adrer-inde\u00adpen\u00addent approach to reali\u00adzing its projects.<\/p>\n
