All exis\u00adting inves\u00adtors sold their shares to Haniel as part of the tran\u00adsac\u00adtion. The tran\u00adsac\u00adtion did not include a finan\u00adcing round, as Emma is profi\u00adta\u00adble and growing on its own. The two foun\u00adders Manuel M\u00fcller <\/strong>(left: photo: Moritz Reich) and Dr. Dennis Schmoltzi<\/strong> will remain share\u00adhol\u00adders in the company with 24.95 percent each and will conti\u00adnue to drive the inter\u00adna\u00adtio\u00adnal expan\u00adsion as well as the acqui\u00adsi\u00adtion of further market shares of Emma toge\u00adther with Haniel as active co-CEOs. The parties have agreed not to disc\u00adlose the purchase price or further details of the contrac\u00adtual arran\u00adge\u00adments. The tran\u00adsac\u00adtion is subject to appr\u00adoval by the rele\u00advant anti\u00adtrust authorities.<\/p>\n

With a team led by Dr. Oliver B\u00f6tt\u00adcher and Kris\u00adtina Schnei\u00adder from the Colo\u00adgne office, Heuking K\u00fchn L\u00fcer Wojtek<\/strong> advi\u00adsed the share\u00adhol\u00adders of Emma \u2014 The Sleep Company (Bett\u00adzeit GmbH) on the tran\u00adsac\u00adtion with Haniel.<\/p>\n

Emma \u2014 The Sleep Company was foun\u00added in 2013 and in just six years has grown from an online plat\u00adform for mattres\u00adses and sleep systems to an inter\u00adna\u00adtio\u00adnally opera\u00adting sleep tech provi\u00adder that is one of Euro\u00adpe\u2019s fastest growing compa\u00adnies. The popu\u00adlar direct-to-consu\u00admer brand Emma is available in 21 count\u00adries around the globe and has alre\u00adady estab\u00adlished itself as the leading bed-in-a-box provi\u00adder in the constantly growing market for sleep-rela\u00adted products in many Euro\u00adpean count\u00adries. The rapid growth is reali\u00adzed by a team that now consists of 350 people and is charac\u00adte\u00adri\u00adzed by product inno\u00adva\u00adtions, the rapid imple\u00admen\u00adta\u00adtion of ideas and indi\u00advi\u00addua\u00adli\u00adzed stra\u00adte\u00adgies for each market.
