The tran\u00adsac\u00adtion is valued at \u20ac1.2 billion (exclu\u00adding net debt). The tran\u00adsac\u00adtion is still subject to custo\u00admary closing condi\u00adti\u00adons and appr\u00adovals from the rele\u00advant regu\u00adla\u00adtory autho\u00adri\u00adties and is expec\u00adted to close in the summer of&nbsp;2020.<\/p>\n<p>With the sale, TUI and Royal Carib\u00adbean have also agreed to further expand their part\u00adner\u00adship by using the proven joint venture struc\u00adture of TUI Crui\u00adses for the luxury and expe\u00addi\u00adtion cruise segment in the future. The part\u00adner\u00adship combi\u00adnes Royal Carib\u00adbe\u00adan\u2019s ship\u00adbuil\u00adding, opera\u00adtio\u00adnal and digi\u00adtal exper\u00adtise with TUI\u2019s strong brand and distri\u00adbu\u00adtion&nbsp;power.<\/p>\n<p>Hapag-Lloyd Crui\u00adses is part of the TUI Group\u2019s cruise busi\u00adness and the leading provi\u00adder of luxury and expe\u00addi\u00adtion crui\u00adses in German-spea\u00adking count\u00adries. Curr\u00adently, the fleet consists of two luxury ships in the five-star plus cate\u00adgory and three expe\u00addi\u00adtion ships.
