Ardian\u2019s Private Debt team has comple\u00adted more than 120 tran\u00adsac\u00adtions since the divi\u00adsi\u00adon\u2019s incep\u00adtion and mana\u00adges $7 billion in assets.<\/p>\n<p>The latest fund has signi\u00adfi\u00adcantly excee\u00added the origi\u00adnal fund\u00adrai\u00adsing target of \u20ac2.5 billion, buil\u00adding on the success of the third gene\u00adra\u00adtion fund, which raised \u20ac2 billion in 2015. The focus of the current plat\u00adform remains on provi\u00adding flexi\u00adble and indi\u00advi\u00addu\u00adally tail\u00ado\u00adred finan\u00adcing solu\u00adti\u00adons for Euro\u00adpean compa\u00adnies. The offe\u00adring was also expan\u00added to include so-called \u201cstret\u00adched senior debt\u201d in order to gain further market share in the M&amp;A busi\u00adness and in compe\u00adti\u00adtion with banks. <em>Stret\u00adched senior debt<\/em> is a hybrid finan\u00adcing struc\u00adture that is prima\u00adrily used in corpo\u00adrate acqui\u00adsi\u00adti\u00adons and dispo\u00adsals and combi\u00adnes various loan tran\u00adches \u2014 simi\u00adlar to unitran\u00adche financing.<\/p>\n<p>More than 90 inves\u00adtors from 15 count\u00adries have provi\u00added funding for the new plat\u00adform, inclu\u00adding from Europe, Asia and North America. They include insu\u00adrance compa\u00adnies, pension funds, banks, foun\u00adda\u00adti\u00adons and govern\u00adment orga\u00adniza\u00adti\u00adons.
