The company thus excee\u00added its funding target of \u20ac1.4 million by 340 percent, which was reached within just 12 minu\u00adtes. Cowboy plans to use the funds to drive the micro-mobi\u00adlity revo\u00adlu\u00adtion across Europe and improve trans\u00adpor\u00adta\u00adtion in cities.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 3155 inves\u00adtors from 70 count\u00adries supported Cowboy via the crowd\u00adfun\u00adding plat\u00adform Crowd\u00adcube (www.crowdcube.com) with an average of 1,510 euros. This makes the Belgi\u00adans\u2019 campaign the most successful in the clean\u00adtech sector that Crowd\u00adcube has listed to&nbsp;date.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe campaign has clearly excee\u00added our expec\u00adta\u00adti\u00adons. Our origi\u00adnal goal was to give our custo\u00admers and fans the chance to become part of our company and grow with us in the years to come. Howe\u00adver, it quickly became appa\u00adrent that Cowboy was attrac\u00adting the atten\u00adtion of many other inves\u00adtors who wanted to be part of our micro-mobi\u00adlity move\u00adment to posi\u00adtively impact the future of cities,\u201d said <strong>Adrien Roose, foun\u00adder and CEO of Cowboy.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cowboy raised funds of \u20ac13.2 million from inter\u00adna\u00adtio\u00adnal inves\u00adtors (inclu\u00adding Index Ventures, Tiger Global, and Hard\u00adware Club) in its Series A round in the fall of 2018. The first model of the elec\u00adtric bike sold out in Belgium in a very short time last year. This spring, Cowboy laun\u00adched its second version and expan\u00added to Germany, France, the Nether\u00adlands, Austria, UK, Spain and Italy during the year. Compared to the previous year, Cowboy has grown fivefold.<\/p>\n<p>In 2019 alone, Cowboy sold more than 5,000 bikes \u2014 40 percent of which were sold in Germany, Cowboy\u2019s largest market. The Cowboy commu\u00adnity is made up of loyal fans of the brand and has alre\u00adady covered more than 3.4 million kilo\u00adme\u00adters on the elec\u00adtric bikes; 1.5 million kilo\u00adme\u00adters of them by German Cowboy riders. The so-called \u201ciPho\u00adnes among e\u2011bikes\u201d have won nume\u00adrous awards and recei\u00adved posi\u00adtive reviews in&nbsp;tests.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About cowboy<\/strong><br>\nCowboy is a Belgian company that deve\u00adlops inno\u00adva\u00adtive elec\u00adtric design bikes for urban riders.
