Until now, our ability to deve\u00adlop new mate\u00adri\u00adals using simu\u00adla\u00adtion tools has been limi\u00adted by the lack of suffi\u00adci\u00adent compu\u00adting power. The deve\u00adlo\u00adp\u00adment of new mate\u00adri\u00adals requi\u00adres an under\u00adstan\u00adding of mate\u00adrial proper\u00adties at the atomic level, where the laws of physics are gover\u00adned by quan\u00adtum mecha\u00adnics. Even super\u00adcom\u00adpu\u00adting centers can solve, at most, tiny quan\u00adtum problems.
