Based on the decla\u00adra\u00adti\u00adons of accep\u00adtance recei\u00adved and booked by the custo\u00addian banks to date for KKR\u2019s volun\u00adt\u00adary public take\u00adover offer to all Axel Sprin\u00adger share\u00adhol\u00adders, <strong>more than <span class=\"nowrap\">20<\/span><\/strong> percent of Sprin\u00adger share\u00adhol\u00adders have accepted KKR\u2019s take\u00adover offer, both part\u00adners announ\u00adced.  If the rate had been below <span class=\"nowrap\">20<\/span> percent, the billion-dollar deal would have collapsed.<\/p>\n<p>Mathias D\u00f6pf\u00adner, CEO of Axel Sprin\u00adger, said: \u201cThis is an important mile\u00adstone for our plan\u00adned stra\u00adte\u00adgic part\u00adner\u00adship with KKR. It will allow us to take advan\u00adtage of addi\u00adtio\u00adnal oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adties and acce\u00adle\u00adrate our growth and invest\u00adment strategy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Julian Deutz, Chief Finan\u00adcial Offi\u00adcer of Axel Sprin\u00adger, said: \u201cWe are plea\u00adsed that the attrac\u00adtive offer from KKR has been accepted. Also in view of the outstan\u00adding offer condi\u00adti\u00adons, we are confi\u00addent that they can be fulfil\u00adled in the coming months.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pursu\u00adant to Section 16 of the German Secu\u00adri\u00adties Acqui\u00adsi\u00adtion and Take\u00adover Act (Wp\u00dcG), share\u00adhol\u00adders who have not yet tende\u00adred their shares may still accept the offer at a price of EUR 63.00 per share during the further period provi\u00added for by law.
