Its shares will be sold to <strong>Pamplona Capi\u00adtal<\/strong> Manage\u00adment, a finan\u00adcial inves\u00adtor based in the UK. The shares of DBAG Fund VI, which was advi\u00adsed by DBAG, and the Infiana manage\u00adment will also be sold. Corre\u00adspon\u00adding agree\u00adments were signed last week; their execu\u00adtion is still subject to the appr\u00adoval of the anti\u00adtrust autho\u00adri\u00adties. The tran\u00adsac\u00adtion is expec\u00adted to close within the next three months. With this tran\u00adsac\u00adtion, DBAG reali\u00adzes more than double the origi\u00adnally inves\u00adted capi\u00adtal. The parties have agreed not to disc\u00adlose the purchase price.<\/p>\n<p>The portion of the proceeds from the sale now agreed upon attri\u00adbu\u00adta\u00adble to DBAG exceeds the carry\u00ading amount of the invest\u00adment in the IFRS inte\u00adrim finan\u00adcial state\u00adments as at March 31, 2019. The dispo\u00adsal will ther\u00ade\u00adfore result in a slightly posi\u00adtive contri\u00adbu\u00adtion to conso\u00adli\u00adda\u00adted earnings in the third quar\u00adter of 2018\/2019, which ended on June 30, 2019. The fore\u00adcast for the 2018\/2019 conso\u00adli\u00adda\u00adted earnings of Deut\u00adsche Betei\u00adli\u00adgungs AG remains unch\u00adan\u00adged in view of the conti\u00adnuing impon\u00adder\u00ada\u00adbles rela\u00adting to other factors influen\u00adcing conso\u00adli\u00adda\u00adted earnings.<\/p>\n<p>Infiana (www.infiana.com) deve\u00adlops and produ\u00adces specialty films for the consu\u00admer goods market and indus\u00adtrial appli\u00adca\u00adti\u00adons. These are used for sophisti\u00adca\u00adted pack\u00ada\u00adging and as a compo\u00adnent for hygiene products, as release and surface films for appli\u00adca\u00adti\u00adons in the cons\u00adtruc\u00adtion indus\u00adtry, and as release films in tech\u00adni\u00adcal adhe\u00adsive tapes and specialty labels. Among other things, the company has iden\u00adti\u00adfied specialty films for phar\u00admaceu\u00adti\u00adcal appli\u00adca\u00adti\u00adons and for the produc\u00adtion of compo\u00adsite mate\u00adri\u00adals as attrac\u00adtive growth areas. The variety and breadth of end-use fields provide for great diver\u00adsi\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adtion. The high flexi\u00adbi\u00adlity in produc\u00adtion enables a variety of products. In doing so, the company bene\u00adfits time and again from its inten\u00adsive inno\u00adva\u00adtion acti\u00advi\u00adties, for which it has recei\u00adved seve\u00adral awards. Infiana produ\u00adces at two loca\u00adti\u00adons in Germany and in the USA. The nucleus of the 165-year-old company, which curr\u00adently employs 800 people, is its German head\u00adquar\u00adters in Forch\u00adheim. In 2018, Infiana turned over 227 million euros.<\/p>\n<p>DBAG and DBAG Fund VI had inves\u00adted in Infiana in Decem\u00adber 2014 as part of a manage\u00adment buyout (MBO). The previous share\u00adhol\u00adder, a Finnish group, had sold the specialty films busi\u00adness because it wanted to focus on the produc\u00adtion of food pack\u00ada\u00adging. Accor\u00addin\u00adgly, after the seces\u00adsion, the first task was to shape Infia\u00adna\u2019s inde\u00adpen\u00addence. Follo\u00adwing the dive\u00adst\u00adment of produc\u00adtion in Brazil and Thai\u00adland, the German and US sites were expan\u00added and moder\u00adni\u00adzed through substan\u00adtial invest\u00adment in addi\u00adtio\u00adnal extru\u00adsion and coating capa\u00adci\u00adties. The ESG and compli\u00adance guide\u00adlines were expan\u00added and adapted to meet the increased requirements.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInfiana is better able to seize its market oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adties today than it was five years ago,\u201d said <strong>Dr. Rolf Schef\u00adfels, a member of DBAG\u2019s Manage\u00adment Board<\/strong>; \u201cthe invest\u00adments have contri\u00adbu\u00adted to this, as has the reor\u00adga\u00adniza\u00adtion of sales from a largely regio\u00adnal approach to a global, verti\u00adcal approach.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Commen\u00adting on the change of owner\u00adship, Peter Wahs\u00adner, Chair\u00adman of the Manage\u00adment Board, said: \u201cInfiana has deve\u00adlo\u00adped enorm\u00adously in recent years and is well posi\u00adtio\u00adned to conti\u00adnue to operate successfully in the future \u2014 with effi\u00adci\u00adent and modern produc\u00adtion and a leading posi\u00adtion in attrac\u00adtive end markets.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The sale of the invest\u00adment in Infiana is the fourth closing of an MBO from the DBAG Fund VI port\u00adfo\u00adlio.
