To this end, <strong>50 million euros<\/strong> in capi\u00adtal is to be gained. The focus of the new fund is on young compa\u00adnies deve\u00adlo\u00adping unique tech\u00adno\u00adlo\u00adgies and appli\u00adca\u00adti\u00adons for the health\u00adcare sector.<\/p>\n<p>Digi\u00adtal health, or digi\u00adtal health solu\u00adti\u00adons, is a growth market world\u00adwide. The market in Europe alone is expec\u00adted to grow to around $170 billion by 2025, with an annual growth rate of around 39%, esti\u00adma\u00adtes market rese\u00adarch firm Graphi\u00adcal Rese\u00adarch. Due to the growing popu\u00adla\u00adtion, incre\u00adasing life expec\u00adtancy as well as incre\u00adasing costs, there is a great need for new and inno\u00adva\u00adtive solu\u00adti\u00adons in the health\u00adcare sector. At the same time, there have been tremen\u00addous advan\u00adces in tech\u00adno\u00adlogy in recent years, such as arti\u00adfi\u00adcial intel\u00adli\u00adgence (AI) and image analy\u00adsis. In addi\u00adtion, there are now a large number of young people who can handle these tech\u00adno\u00adlo\u00adgies, as a lot has also happened in educa\u00adtion and trai\u00adning, for exam\u00adple in the area of data analy\u00adsis. Fund\u00adrai\u00adsing will start soon after appr\u00adoval by the Austrian Finan\u00adcial Market Autho\u00adrity (FMA) under the EuVECA (Euro\u00adpean Venture Capi\u00adtal Fund Regu\u00adla\u00adtion) direc\u00adtive, which includes a Europe-wide appr\u00adoval. In 2020, the fund\u00adrai\u00adsing is expec\u00adted to be comple\u00adted.
