With the Eschen\u00adburg Clinic<\/strong> and the D\u00fcssel\u00addorf Rhein-Reha<\/strong>, MEDIAN is further expan\u00adding its leading posi\u00adtion in the reha\u00adbi\u00adli\u00adta\u00adtion market. The parties have agreed not to disc\u00adlose the purchase price or further finan\u00adcial details of both transactions.<\/p>\n

In the Lahn-Dill district of central Hesse, MEDIAN takes over the Eschen\u00adburg Clinic. It comple\u00adments the range of services in the core area of addic\u00adtion and depen\u00addency disor\u00adders. It offers 87 treat\u00adment beds and a wide range of treat\u00adment for drug and alco\u00adhol addic\u00adtion. A special compe\u00adtence of the Eschen\u00adburg Clinic is the treat\u00adment of addic\u00adtion problems of elderly people. The clinic also includes three outpa\u00adti\u00adent faci\u00adli\u00adties in Dillen\u00adburg, Wetz\u00adlar and Gies\u00adsen. Through this acqui\u00adsi\u00adtion, MEDIAN is not only expan\u00adding its status as the largest private reha\u00adbi\u00adli\u00adta\u00adtion company in Germany. With a total of 30 specia\u00adlist clinics and adapt\u00ada\u00adtion houses nati\u00adon\u00adwide, MEDIAN is now also the market leader in the field of reha\u00adbi\u00adli\u00adta\u00adtion for addic\u00adtion and depen\u00addency disor\u00adders. MEDIAN is also conti\u00adnuing its growth course in nort\u00adhern Rhine\u00adland-Pala\u00adti\u00adnate and Hesse. In Janu\u00adary 2019, the health\u00adcare company had alre\u00adady acqui\u00adred Klini\u00adken Wied GmbH & Co. KG in the Wester\u00adwald region, 65 kilo\u00adme\u00adters away. In D\u00fcssel\u00addorf, MEDIAN will take over the Outpa\u00adti\u00adent Cardio\u00adlogy Rehab Center Rhein-Reha, the take\u00adover will be comple\u00adted at the turn of the year 2019\/20. Rhein-Reha will be inte\u00adgra\u00adted with its entire clinic opera\u00adti\u00adons and also by name under the umbrella of MEDIAN\u2019s alre\u00adady exis\u00adting Outpa\u00adti\u00adent Health Center D\u00fcssel\u00addorf. The tran\u00adsi\u00adtion will be desi\u00adgned for all pati\u00adents and employees without inter\u00adrupt\u00ading ongo\u00ading treatments.<\/p>\n

Dr. Cars\u00adten Rahlfs (photo), Mana\u00adging Part\u00adner of Water\u00adland<\/strong>, says: \u201cThe demand for rehab services for the treat\u00adment of addic\u00adtion and depen\u00addency disor\u00adders is growing steadily. MEDIAN, as the new number one in this specia\u00adlist area, will bene\u00adfit from the exper\u00adtise of Klinik Eschen\u00adburg. This is because the faci\u00adlity enjoys an excel\u00adlent repu\u00adta\u00adtion and ideally comple\u00adments MEDIAN\u2019s presence in the region. Since Water\u00adlan\u00add\u2019s entry as a share\u00adhol\u00adder, MEDIAN has now taken over 21 indi\u00advi\u00addual clinics and clinic groups and inte\u00adgra\u00adted them into the group of compa\u00adnies. In doing so, MEDIAN is aiming for quality leader\u00adship in medi\u00adcal reha\u00adbi\u00adli\u00adta\u00adtion and is inves\u00adt\u00ading heavily in the expan\u00adsion of therapy offe\u00adrings, in addi\u00adtio\u00adnal staff, in the digi\u00adta\u00adliza\u00adtion of proces\u00adses and in the moder\u00adniza\u00adtion of clinic buil\u00addings. Toge\u00adther with the new faci\u00adlity, the Group compri\u00adses around 120 clinics and faci\u00adli\u00adties with 18,500 beds, trea\u00adting more than 230,000 pati\u00adents annu\u00adally. The health\u00adcare company, which employs around 15,000 people, includes reha\u00adbi\u00adli\u00adta\u00adtion clinics as well as acute psych\u00adia\u00adtric hospi\u00adtals, therapy centers, outpa\u00adti\u00adent clinics and reinte\u00adgra\u00adtion faci\u00adli\u00adties in 13 German states.
