In the course of concen\u00adt\u00adra\u00adting on its core busi\u00adness (sales of prin\u00adting systems and solu\u00adti\u00adons), Canon Germany had commis\u00adsio\u00adned <strong>Bryan Garnier<\/strong> \u2018s German team to find a buyer with expe\u00adri\u00adence in the indus\u00adtry who would syste\u00adma\u00adti\u00adcally deve\u00adlop the prin\u00adting services and value-added services busi\u00adness. ASC Invest\u00adment Sarl was advi\u00adsed by <strong>Reed Smith<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Canon Deutsch\u00adland Busi\u00adness Services GmbH (CBS) is a prin\u00adting and docu\u00adment manage\u00adment service provi\u00adder with 45 loca\u00adti\u00adons across Germany, whose custo\u00admers include well-known finan\u00adcial service provi\u00adders, univer\u00adsi\u00adties and the German govern\u00adment. Canon acqui\u00adred this busi\u00adness unit as part of the take\u00adover of Dutch compe\u00adti\u00adtor Oc\u00e9 in 2010. CBS has tradi\u00adtio\u00adnally focu\u00adsed on provi\u00adding on-premise and tran\u00adsac\u00adtional prin\u00adting services, but is incre\u00adasingly moving into the docu\u00adment outsour\u00adcing space by selling value-added services such as scan\u00adning and digi\u00adtiza\u00adtion, docu\u00adment manage\u00adment and archi\u00adving, and design services. Last but not least, this area is to be further expan\u00added with the support of the new&nbsp;owner.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About ASC<br>\n<\/strong>ASC is an invest\u00adment company with offices in Luxem\u00adbourg and Munich and a focus on carve-out tran\u00adsac\u00adtions (corpo\u00adrate spin-offs) in Europe.
