With a total of 67 wind turbi\u00adnes and a total capa\u00adcity of 402 mega\u00adwatts, this is the second largest offshore wind farm in Germany and one of the ten largest farms in the world. Other part\u00adners are funds of the German invest\u00adment compa\u00adnies <strong>KGAL Group<\/strong> and <strong>wpd invest<\/strong>. In total, the consor\u00adtium is acqui\u00adring around 80 percent of the shares in the project company.<\/p>\n<p>Toge\u00adther with the debt capi\u00adtal, the <strong>tran\u00adsac\u00adtion volume<\/strong> amounts to <strong>around \u20ac2.3 billion<\/strong>. The sellers of the park, which has been in opera\u00adtion since 2017, are the previous project deve\u00adlo\u00adpers and owners <strong>High\u00adland Group Holdings, Copen\u00adha\u00adgen Infra\u00adstruc\u00adture Part\u00adners <\/strong>and <strong>Siemens Finan\u00adcial Services<\/strong>. The latter will conti\u00adnue to hold 20 percent of the shares. Tech\u00adni\u00adcal support is provi\u00added by Siemens Gamesa Rene\u00adwa\u00adble Energy under a full-service contract.<\/p>\n<p>Veja Mate is loca\u00adted about 95 km northwest of the island of Borkum in the German econo\u00admic zone of the North Sea and covers an area of 51 square kilo\u00adme\u00adters. In this area, the average wind speed is more than 10 meters per second. The 180-meter-high wind turbi\u00adnes have rotors each 154 meters in diame\u00adter and their foun\u00adda\u00adti\u00adons are 7.8 meters in diame\u00adter. At 84.5 meters in length, they are the largest of their kind manu\u00adfac\u00adtu\u00adred to date. The turbi\u00adnes are desi\u00adgned for an opera\u00adting life of 25 years, the main\u00adten\u00adance contract with Siemens initi\u00adally runs for 15 years. Accor\u00adding to the Rene\u00adwa\u00adble Energy Sources Act (EEG 2014), the feed-in tariff is to be paid for a total of 20 years, until 2037. Accor\u00adding to the opera\u00adtors, the opera\u00adtion of the wind farm will save around 950,000 tons of carbon dioxide per&nbsp;year.<\/p>\n<p>The consor\u00adtium, consis\u00adting of the  <strong>IRI Invest\u00adments BV, a subsi\u00addiary of the Swedish Ingka Group, ANET GmbH &amp; Co. Geschlos\u00adsene Invest\u00adment KG, KGAL ESPF 4 Holding SARL, ALH Euro\u00adpean Infra S.C.S. SICAV-RAIF <\/strong>and <strong> the Green Return Fund 3 S.C.S. SICAV-FIAR<\/strong>, prevai\u00adled in a bidding process. The invest\u00adment was acqui\u00adred by way of a share deal from the sellers <strong>Siemens Project Venture GmbH, High\u00adland Capi\u00adtal Group <\/strong>and <strong>Copen\u00adha\u00adgen Invest\u00adment Part\u00adners<\/strong>.
