With the fresh capi\u00adtal, the startup wants to realize, among other things, the market launch within the scope of a so-called \u201cpost-market study\u201d. With this study, the Hemo\u00advent system \u201cMOBYBOX\u201d will be used on humans for the first time. In paral\u00adlel, the foun\u00adders are also seeking US FDA approval.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tech\u00adno\u00adlo\u00adgi\u00adcal advancements<\/strong><br>\nHemo\u00advent GmbH has <strong>deve\u00adlo\u00adped<\/strong> one of the worl\u00add\u2019s smal\u00adlest porta\u00adble <strong>ECMO systems (Extra Corpo\u00adral Membrane Oxygena\u00adtion, photo), which supports or even comple\u00adtely takes over the natu\u00adral cardio\u00adpul\u00admo\u00adnary func\u00adtion in case of cardio\u00adpul\u00admo\u00adnary insuf\u00adfi\u00adci\u00adency or fail\u00adure<\/strong>. Since the closing of the previous finan\u00adcing round in June 2017, the Aachen-based startup has successfully comple\u00adted product deve\u00adlo\u00adp\u00adment and the veri\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adtion and vali\u00adda\u00adtion phase. Extre\u00admely posi\u00adtive results have been achie\u00adved in the in vivo trials and the company expects CE certi\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adtion later this&nbsp;year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHemo\u00advent has been deve\u00adlo\u00adping very posi\u00adtively since Seed Fonds II\u2019s initial commit\u00adment,\u201d says Markus Kr\u00fccke\u00admeier, Mana\u00adging Direc\u00adtor of Seed Fonds Aachen II\u2019s manage\u00adment company. \u201cSo far, the medtech company has been able to reach all mile\u00adsto\u00adnes and even create addi\u00adtio\u00adnal value in some areas. In addi\u00adtion to NRW.BANK, Seed Fonds II Aachen is finan\u00adced by Spar\u00adkasse Aachen and DSA Invest GmbH, which is backed by Aachen-based DSA Daten- und System\u00adtech\u00adnik GmbH. The Seed Fund provi\u00addes young compa\u00adnies in the start-up phase with the neces\u00adsary equity capi\u00adtal and thus stimu\u00adla\u00adtes the deve\u00adlo\u00adp\u00adment of future-orien\u00adted tech\u00adno\u00adlo\u00adgies in the Aachen econo\u00admic region.
