Commer\u00adcial refri\u00adge\u00adra\u00adtion equip\u00adment with built-in compres\u00adsor (plug-in) is gradu\u00adally repla\u00adcing equip\u00adment with exter\u00adnal refri\u00adge\u00adra\u00adtion compres\u00adsor and is the fastest growing segment in the commer\u00adcial food refri\u00adge\u00adra\u00adtion and free\u00adzer market. The advan\u00adta\u00adges of plug-in units are lower total cost of owner\u00adship as well as shorter instal\u00adla\u00adtion times. AHT looks back on an instal\u00adled base of more than one million devices. In addi\u00adtion to the sale of products, the company\u2019s range of services includes the provi\u00adsion of compre\u00adhen\u00adsive plan\u00adning, instal\u00adla\u00adtion and main\u00adten\u00adance services. The company\u2019s four produc\u00adtion sites are loca\u00adted in Austria, China, Brazil and the&nbsp;USA.<\/p>\n<p>Bridge\u00adpoint acqui\u00adred AHT in Novem\u00adber 2013. The company gene\u00adra\u00adted <strong>net sales of \u20ac481 million<\/strong> for <strong>2017<\/strong> and has achie\u00adved average sales growth of 12% per year over the past 10&nbsp;years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Michael Davy, Part\u00adner at Bridge\u00adpoint<\/strong> and Chair\u00adman of AHT\u2019s Board of Direc\u00adtors, said, \u201cAHT has evol\u00adved in recent years from a largely Euro\u00adpean-focu\u00adsed company to a global leader in its segment that conti\u00adnues to expand its foot\u00adprint to include other attrac\u00adtive inter\u00adna\u00adtio\u00adnal markets. The latter are easier for custo\u00admers to install compared to tradi\u00adtio\u00adnal systems and are less expen\u00adsive as well as more envi\u00adron\u00admen\u00adtally friendly to operate. We wish the company contin\u00adued success under its new owner\u00adship as it conti\u00adnues to expand geogra\u00adphi\u00adcally and grow its product portfolio.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Under Bridge\u00adpoint, signi\u00adfi\u00adcant invest\u00adments have been made in the company. In the past three years alone, over 70 million euros have been inves\u00adted in the deve\u00adlo\u00adp\u00adment of new products, the expan\u00adsion of produc\u00adtion in Austria, and the estab\u00adlish\u00adment of the new produc\u00adtion faci\u00adli\u00adties in Brazil and the USA. The expan\u00adsion of produc\u00adtion capa\u00adcity in China has also enab\u00adled AHT to reduce its manu\u00adfac\u00adtu\u00adring costs while further expan\u00adding its market share in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Market obser\u00advers believe that plug-in refri\u00adge\u00adra\u00adtion systems will conti\u00adnue to outper\u00adform the over\u00adall global refri\u00adge\u00adra\u00adtion market. This is due to the growing accep\u00adtance of these systems, the upco\u00adming repla\u00adce\u00adment cycle of alre\u00adady instal\u00adled equip\u00adment, and the incre\u00adasing consu\u00admer demand for frozen and refri\u00adge\u00adra\u00adted&nbsp;food.<\/p>\n<p>Frank Elsen, Mana\u00adging Direc\u00adtor of AHT, added: \u201cWe have deve\u00adlo\u00adped stron\u00adgly since the invest\u00adment by Bridge\u00adpoint more than four years ago and are now a market leader in our segment.
