The company deve\u00adlops, manu\u00adfac\u00adtures and sells devices for venti\u00adla\u00adtion therapy in pati\u00adents with the so-called respi\u00adra\u00adtory distress syndrome. This syndrome includes COPD, a chro\u00adnic obstruc\u00adtive pulmo\u00adnary dise\u00adase that is the fourth leading cause of death globally, accor\u00adding to the World Health Orga\u00adniza\u00adtion (WHO). Another new inves\u00adtor is the invest\u00adment company <strong>GMH-Ventures<\/strong> GmbH. The exis\u00adting inves\u00adtors <strong>SHS Gesell\u00adschaft f\u00fcr Betei\u00adli\u00adgungs\u00adma\u00adnage\u00adment<\/strong> mbH (SHS), Kredit\u00adan\u00adstalt f\u00fcr Wieder\u00adauf\u00adbau<strong>(KfW<\/strong>) and <strong>Pathena Sicar<\/strong> are also parti\u00adci\u00adpa\u00adting in this round. TNI medi\u00adcal intends to use the funds for the further deve\u00adlo\u00adp\u00adment and world\u00adwide appr\u00adoval of the products as well as for the deve\u00adlo\u00adp\u00adment of further markets, espe\u00adci\u00adally in non-Euro\u00adpean count\u00adries such as the USA and&nbsp;China.<\/p>\n<p>TNI medi\u00adcal AG, head\u00adquar\u00adte\u00adred in W\u00fcrz\u00adburg, Germany, was foun\u00added about ten years ago as a spin-off of seleon GmbH, an engi\u00adnee\u00adring service provi\u00adder in the medi\u00adcal tech\u00adno\u00adlogy sector.
