M. \u2014 <strong>UCB S.A.<\/strong> has sold its subsi\u00addiary <strong>UCB Innere Medi\u00adzin<\/strong> to <strong>Para\u00adgon Part\u00adners<\/strong>. <strong>DC Advi\u00adsory<\/strong> advi\u00adsed UCB S.A. on the transaction.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UCB Inn<\/strong> ere Medi\u00adzin (\u201cInter\u00adnal Medi\u00adcine\u201d), which has been opera\u00adting as an inde\u00adpen\u00addent busi\u00adness unit of<strong> UCB<\/strong> since March 2016, has been successfully marke\u00adting drugs in the field of cardio\u00advas\u00adcu\u00adlar and respi\u00adra\u00adtory dise\u00ada\u00adses in Germany for many years and is mainly known among gene\u00adral prac\u00adti\u00adtio\u00adners and specia\u00adlists in inter\u00adnal medicine.<\/p>\n<p>In line with its global stra\u00adtegy, the sale of Inter\u00adnal Medi\u00adcine will enable UCB to focus on its core busi\u00adness in neuro\u00adlogy, immu\u00adno\u00adlogy as well as bone dise\u00ada\u00adses to provide the best solu\u00adti\u00adons for people with severe chro\u00adnic diseases.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Para\u00adgon Part\u00adners<\/strong>(\u201cPara\u00adgon\u201d) will acquire Inter\u00adnal Medi\u00adcine and its entire staff of appro\u00adxi\u00adm\u00adately 200 employees and will operate Inter\u00adnal Medi\u00adcine as an inde\u00adpen\u00addent company. Para\u00adgon intends to conti\u00adnue its successful busi\u00adness model and stra\u00adte\u00adgic orien\u00adta\u00adtion, as well as to further deve\u00adlop and expand its busi\u00adness. Inter\u00adnal Medi\u00adcine will operate under a new name, which will be announ\u00adced shortly after the tran\u00adsac\u00adtion closes.
