The invest\u00adment is being made as part of a capi\u00adtal increase of around 300 million US dollars and on the basis of a company valua\u00adtion of<strong> ABOUT YOU<\/strong> of over one billion US dollars. This makes the fast-growing fashion tech start-up of the<strong> Otto Group<\/strong> the first so-called unicorn from Hamburg.<\/p>\n<p>The finan\u00adcing round of around 300 million US dollars is largely based on the invest\u00adment by Heart\u00adland A\/S, which is acqui\u00adring a double-digit share in ABOUT YOU. The previous share\u00adhol\u00adders <strong>German Media Pool<\/strong> and <strong>Seven Ventures<\/strong> as well as the <strong>three ABOUT YOU mana\u00adging direc\u00adtors Tarek M\u00fcller, Sebas\u00adtian Betz<\/strong> and <strong>Hannes Wiese (photo from right: <\/strong>obs\/About You GmbH\/Johannes Arlt) are also parti\u00adci\u00adpa\u00adting in the capi\u00adtal increase. Benja\u00admin Otto, forma\u00adtive part\u00adner and member of the Super\u00advi\u00adsory Board of the Otto Group, and his sister remain mino\u00adrity share\u00adhol\u00adders with their Gesell\u00adschaft f\u00fcr Handels\u00adbe\u00adtei\u00adli\u00adgun\u00adgen mbH (GfH). Although the Otto Group remains the largest share\u00adhol\u00adder in ABOUT YOU, it will manage the fashion tech company as an invest\u00adment company in the future. ABOUT YOU now intends to use the addi\u00adtio\u00adnal capi\u00adtal for the further expan\u00adsion of the company.<\/p>\n<p>Inter\u00adna\u00adtio\u00adnal busi\u00adness law firm<strong> Milbank, Tweed, Hadley &amp; McCloy<\/strong> LLP has advi\u00adsed the <strong>Otto Group<\/strong> on <strong>Heart\u00adland A\/S <\/strong>\u2019 invest\u00adment in <strong>ABOUT YOU<\/strong>, the Otto Group\u2019s fashion tech start-up.<\/p>\n<p>ABOUT YOU is conside\u00adred one of the fastest growing fashion tech start-ups in Europe. For fiscal 2018\/2019, the company expects sales to increase from 283 million euros to 450 to 480 million euros. ABOUT YOU intends to use the addi\u00adtio\u00adnal capi\u00adtal for further expansion.<\/p>\n<p>The plan\u00adned parti\u00adci\u00adpa\u00adtion of Heart\u00adland A\/S in ABOUT YOU is subject to the appr\u00adoval of the anti\u00adtrust authorities.<\/p>\n<p>The Milbank team led by <strong>Norbert Rieger<\/strong> and Sebas\u00adtian Heim provi\u00added compre\u00adhen\u00adsive advice to the Otto Group on corpo\u00adrate, tax, anti\u00adtrust and finan\u00adcial aspects of the transaction.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About ABOUT&nbsp;YOU<\/strong><br>\nABOUT YOU digi\u00adti\u00adzes the clas\u00adsic shop\u00adping trip and crea\u00adtes a perso\u00adna\u00adli\u00adzed shop\u00adping expe\u00adri\u00adence on the smart\u00adphone. By adap\u00adting to each custo\u00admer\u2019s indi\u00advi\u00addual style, the online store crea\u00adtes a store that is unique to all custo\u00admers, display\u00ading only rele\u00advant products and outfit sugges\u00adti\u00adons. The fashion tech company gene\u00adra\u00adted sales of \u20ac283 million in 2017\/18, and sales of \u20ac450\u2013480 million are expec\u00adted for the current fiscal year, repre\u00adsen\u00adting an annual tran\u00adsac\u00adtion volume of more than \u20ac1.6 billion. ABOUT YOU GmbH was foun\u00added in 2014 as a subsi\u00addiary of the Otto Group and is now part of the Group port\u00adfo\u00adlio.
